Artist's Description

The Unisphere is located in Fairgrounds in Queens, New York City. It was the centerpiece of the 1964-1965 World's Fair. The sphere is 140 feet tall, 120 feet in diameter and weighs 900,000 pounds. The sculpture was built by the U.S. Steel Corporation as a symbol of world peace.
